by Corey Gray ![]() I made a Facebook status probably a month ago saying how my new desired aesthetic is “model off duty”. Clearly Juicy Couture listened to my prayers and released new velour tracksuits. Now I can join the likes of early to mid 2000s Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian, and find the perfect balance between tacky glamour and casual comfort. You know I’m going to slip it on every morning with a pair of oversized sunglasses to go grab my daily iced caramel macchiato with soy. And if you’re in college, it’s a super cute look to wear to that early morning class that you go back to your room and pass out the second it’s over. You can get these bad boys on the Juicy Couture
website if you have almost $200 to spend. Don’t fear, though, there are more affordable options. If you hop on over to Kohl’s, you can find a little less exciting, but much more affordable Juicy velour tracksuits. These are the orphaned tracksuits from Juicy’s heyday, but now that the Juicy is trying to bring them back, there’s no reason you can’t save a pretty penny by adopting one of these babies. Another place to look is the sale section of the Juicy Couture website. There are a few gorgeous options there, but they are much pricier still than the Kohl’s options. The Victoria and Albert Museum in London even has a 2004 Juicy tracksuit on display as part of an exhibition on underwear and it’s relationship to fashion. Juicy Couture velour tracksuits are a little slice of fashion history, and it’s so exciting that we can live it all over again. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of this resurgence of such a fashion icon?
