Bad Blood (2013) is Bastille’s- a London indie band- debut album.
Their first studio album already showcases the musical abilities of
the band. The album overall gives off an indie vibe, but they
infuse pop elements throughout their songs. Some songs even
sound as if they were recorded live; Dan Smith (the singer) has
an extremely organic voice that has become Bastille’s trademark.
Most of the songs on the album have a beat you can sway
to- not quite upbeat, but not somber either. Bastille’s music
seems to have happy undertones, but after a closer listen, the
songs turn out to be almost tear-inducing. Bad Blood talks of
love, loss, failure, and trying to become our best person.
“Pompeii”, “Bad Blood”, “Laura Palmer” and “Weight Of Living,
Part 2” are perfect examples of songs that have upbeat music but
are much sadder than the slow songs of the album- in my
Lydia is a beautiful portrayal of an unhealthy relationship ending in tragedy. Johnny sings of drug use
Jealously, and mental illness in his relationship with Lydia, protaying them as preditor and prey. Lydia
gets tangled up in his bad habits which ultimately leads to the couples downfall and Lydias death.
Johnnys rockstar lifestyle of drugs, alchol, and sex was all to much for her and it all took a tole on her. He
explains how she loved him more than anything else but something got in the way of him loving her,
presumably the drug use he talks about in the third verse. The song convays Lydia as a straight laced girl
with a pure heart whos willing to give her everything to Johnny, but thijngs gt out of hand and she
thought to have overdosed while with Johnny. He saw her as perfect, but see himself as a wreck, this
shows further that he did love her, but he knew they just weren’t right for eachother. Johnny got her
into bad situations, disregarding her feelings or attuides towards what they were doing and ultimately
getting her hurt, and possibly killed, either way Johnny feels responsible for her sufforing. The menacing
sound of the song perfectly complamints Johnnys hunting tail of love gone wrong.

Lime Crime has been teasing us on Instagram with
swatches from their new “Livin’ on a Prairie” collection of
liquid lipsticks, and now it’s finally here. The brand has
never been one to give us a release date for their new
releases, so it was a pleasant surprise the day I woke up
and saw the email notifying me that the collection was now
available for sale.

Hit that eye roll! Uzi has been making moves so far during 2016 and has yet again released a completely fire mixtape. You know it's fire because it's one of those mixtapes that are versatile - they're good for playing in the car, through headphones, hanging out with friends and during the day or night. Along with the versatility of the mixtape is the difference between songs: some are love songs, some are party songs, and some are just completely random. With Uzi's unique, new-age beats and carefree lyrics, you're sure to enjoy this one. Uzi didn't need much promotion due to his recent celebrity on social media and dropped the album art on Instagram with little details.
The lyrics are repetitive, yet catchy - catchy enough to catch the attention of even the most old-fashion hip-hop head. He uses some signature lines like "money longer," and "pockets fatter." If you enjoy new-age rap, the beats are very electric and just what you would expect. Uzi featured Future on the song Seven Million. Metro Boomin , Zaytoven, Maaly Raw, Don Cannon, DP Beatz, Slade the Monsta, CuBeatz, Ike Beatz, Nard&B/XL, and Lyle Leduff are the producers for the 10 songs. Although Brittany - Uzi's girlfriend and caricature on his last album art - is featured in this album art, there are suspicious lyrics which suggest that his recent break-up lasted longer than his fans suspected, or possibly had a permanent outcome.
In Rainbows (2007) is regarded as one of the best Radiohead albums of all time. Many fans, including me, have fallen in love with the variety of styles and amazing stories told within these 10 tracks.
15 Step- In Rainbows opens with the upbeat “15 Step,” (thought to be referring to the stairs up to the gallows) about the panic and fear of what happens next, a reoccurring theme across most of their tracks and the overall theme of this album. It features electronic drums, ambient guitar melodies, and striking bass lines, this songs energetic sound and overall dark message sets the tone for this album like no other song could.

I made a Facebook status probably a month ago saying
how my new desired aesthetic is “model off duty”. Clearly
Juicy Couture listened to my prayers and released new
velour tracksuits. Now I can join the likes of early to mid
2000s Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian, and find the perfect
balance between tacky glamour and casual comfort. You
know I’m going to slip it on every morning with a pair of
oversized sunglasses to go grab my daily iced caramel
macchiato with soy. And if you’re in college, it’s a super cute
look to wear to that early morning class that you go back to
your room and pass out the second it’s over.

three seasons with 13-16 episodes each. The 100 is a post-

being unrecognizable to Morgan’s series, the show is an amazing

If you live on the east coast or in a predominantly Asian
community, you may have already heard of Kung Fu Tea: a
modern cafe that serves a variety of dessert drinks, including
bubble tea, slushies, coffees, and punches. Each drink can be
customized to one's preference, such as sugar level and ice level.
Nata jelly, bubbles, and red beans can also be added to drinks if
desired. Its delicious taste and affordable price have made the
franchise a hit, open in seventeen states and counting.
